August 22, 1933 - October 16, 2021

Timothy Farfan, 88, of Freeport, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Amelia; children from his first marriage Maria and Daniel; stepson, Frank Robinson; siblings, Francisco, Rosario, and Carmen.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Victor, Gilberto, Timothy, Fanny, and Luis.  He was the son of Victor and Leonor Farfan.  He was born in Lima, Peru on August 22, 1933.  He studied engineering at Universidad Nacional De Ingenieria in Peru.  He emigrated to the US when he was a young man in his 20’s and became a US citizen in 1965.  He worked at Harris Corporation in Syosset, NY for 30 years and US Dynamics for a few years.  He enjoyed his retirement years in Freeport.

Tim was a gentle soul who was loved by many.  His soft spoken and witty demeanor was endearing to all who knew him.  He enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and watching the Yankees.  He loved his wife with all his heart and especially enjoyed her Peruvian dishes.

Tim’s family would like to thank his doctors who cared for him, Dr. Julius Bazan and Dr. Sergio Suarez, and all his family, friends, and neighbors for their support.

A private ceremony will be held at Fullerton funeral home in Baldwin, NY.

A gentle man and a gentlemen, Tim was a man filled with quiet wisdom, true compassion, and genuine kindness These qualities always shined through across our interactions over the past several years. Amelia, Frank and Rachel-
We are deeply saddened by the news of Tim’s passing. What a beautiful tribute to his life on this short film. He was a very gentle soul that made a big impact on so many lives. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you Amelia and to your family for your profound loss of your Timothy. I will miss him, his warm cheerful smile, the meals we shared when I came to visit. He is surely in the arms of the angels now. It’s only for a time you part, until again, bless those memories in your heart.
