Thoughts & Prayers

Oh Larry, what a kind and patient man you were. How well I(Gloria) remember the boys birthday parties with lots of food, relatives and that famous rum with whipped cream Italian birthday cake. Our family was so loud, especially the ladies in the kitchen, and you and Charlie and Bob and sometimes Ted would hang out In the living room quietly drinking Uncle Charlie’s homemade eggnog .
We will miss you. We know, however, that you are in a better place with your Gerrie.

Larry was the husband of my first cousin Gerrie. I remember him as a warm, quiet and kind man. After Gerrie died, Larry and I would talk pretty regularly, which is what my cousin and I did when she was alive. I enjoyed the "visits" with him and will miss them, as I will miss Larry. When the family would visit them in Glen Cove, we always enjoyed the Italian pastries Larry provided. Our family gatherings were always fun wherever they were held. Our family consisted of mostly talkative and loud women and Larry would join the other men for some peace and quiet. Hopefully he has found a quiet spot where he is!
Rest in peace Larry!
