Ronnie and family,

Although we mourn the loss of our beloved cousin and friend, we are at peace knowing that his suffering has ended. We will miss his sense of humor and his ability to help anyone who was in need.

You will never know the impact Deacon Joe had on my life and the lives of my sons. From the time my oldest child was 3 (he is now 19) Deacon Joe was a good friend to him. Talking to him after mass, even sharing pictures of his own train set with my son. I wish he had seen what a wonderful, faith-filled man my son has grown to be. From the time when he asked Deacon Joe "what does God look like" when he was 3 years old, I believe Deacon Joe had a direct impact on my son's faith. He has graduated from Chaminade HS & finished his freshman year at Fairfield Univ. His faith is strong. He is a sacristan, eucharistic minister, and altar server. He hopes one day to become a Deacon himself. As for my other two children, Deacon Joe blessed me every week when I was pregnant, baptised both of them and we even shared some stories with each other because I had an Autistic son which was the same age as his grandson who was afflicted with the disability. I loved to hear how proud he was of his grandson's progress. I will continue to keep Deacon Joe in my thoughts and prayers. I hope it brings you some sort of comfort to know what a wonderful person he was to me and my family. Thank you for sharing him with us.
