John Paul “Jack” Coughlan, Sr., 86 of Milford, Pennsylvania and formerly of Baldwin, New York passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at home. He was a retired Supervisor for Grumman Corp. in Bethpage, New York. Member of the Marsh Kellogg American Legion Post # 139 in Milford, PA. Ex-Chief and Former Commissioner for 47 years with Truck Co. #1 of the Baldwin Fire Department. Proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. The son of the late William and Margaret (Kiernan) Coughlan he was born February 18, 1933 in Baldwin, NY. He was married first to the late Nancy Coughlan and later to the late Susan Coughlan. Jack leaves behind his son John Coughlan, Jr.; daughter Christine Earls and her husband Declan; grandchildren Lisa Friedman and her husband Todd, John Thomas Coughlan, Christopher Earls, Kevin Earls, Alanna Earls; great granddaughter Charlotte Friedman; sister Joan Snyder; stepson Thomas Williams. He was predeceased by his daughter Jane Hansen and grandson Timothy Earls. Reposing at the Fullerton Funeral Home, Inc., 769 Merrick Road, Baldwin, New York on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Baldwin Fire Department Firematic Service on Thursday, January 30, 2020, 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 31, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Christopher's R.C. Church in Baldwin, New York. Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, New York.
