Thoughts & Prayers

I was so sorry to hear that Charlie had passed away. I was a spectrum engineering manager at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC, and coordinated and worked with Charlie on a number of issues and occasions. Charlie was a wonderful FAA asset, being thorough, highly skilled, and, above all, a very nice person. I want his wife and sons to know that their husband and father was a wonderful person that will be missed by so many friends in the FAA and beyond.

I have fond memories of Charlie helping out on the Iroquois District Camporees for many years . He always coordinated the cracker barrel nights and lunch. He was always smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cassella family.

I met Charlie when my son Tom joined Boy Scouts. I had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Scout Master with Charlie. His dedication to Scouting was boundless. I always remember when trying to recruit Scouts for weekend outings, eventually they would always ask "is Mr. Cassella going", because they all loved Charlie's cooking, which he enjoyed doing and teaching to the boys. Rest in peace, Charlie!
